Our History
Darling Downs Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd was established in November 1991 by Peter McKenzie and Paul Munson. This business was originally called Warwick & District Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd.

Our register of clients had grown far beyond the Warwick and surrounding areas, and in September 2001 we changed our company and trading name to Darling Downs Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd to truly reflect the areas we service.

July 1st 2002 saw us achieve another milestone with the purchase of Ray Lyons Insurance Service Pty Ltd of Warwick and the general insurance portfolios of Great Southern Financial Services of Toowoomba. This purchase allowed us to operate an office in Toowoomba.

Our core business is Rural Insurance and Regional Commercial Business Insurance, to allow us to focus on this we sold our life insurance business to Andrew Brennan of Great Southern Financial Services.

We are a successful medium sized broker with a staff of 7 dedicated people. Unlike several of today's insurance broking companies, Darling Downs Insurance Brokers has retained autonomy. This enables us to offer unbiased advice and service as well as providing personal and effectual attention to every individual clients needs.

Our sole responsibility is to work for you in achieving a satisfactory commercial outcome whether it is arranging new policies or settlement of claims.

Just as lawyers and accountants provide assistance and advice in their areas of expertise so do we in managing your insurance portfolio.

By using our services as an independent broker, you obtain the cover you need, rather than what the Insurers or their agents wish to sell you.

Our Claims Service
This is where the guidance of a broker can be very valuable. The formalities of making a claim are often onerous. We assist you to present your claim in the correct manner so that it proceeds as smoothly as possible.
